I went to Thankful Baptist Church on Fathers Day in Johnson City, Tennessee. The eerie sight punched my gut and shook my core. A body was found across the street from the edaphus, a clean white sheet draped over the body, with a police presence on the block. Pastor Aaron relayed toward the end of the service that the body was that of a homeless person. I believe this was affirmation, a wake up call, that the O-Zone is needed in the Tri-Cities Tennessee.
What if we could have had the resources to keep that lonely soul, safe and feed? Would they have passed away?
Imagine a world where we possess the means and resources to provide safety and nourishment to every lonely soul in need. What if we could extend a helping hand to those on the brink of despair, offering them a lifeline in their darkest moments? Would such acts of kindness and compassion have the power to alter the course of their lives, preventing them from succumbing to their struggles? These questions prompt us to reflect on the profound impact that a simple gesture of care and support can have on an individual's well-being. Perhaps, by fostering a community that values empathy and solidarity, we can create a world where no soul is left to suffer alone, where every person is embraced with warmth and sustenance, ensuring that they not only survive but thrive amidst life's challenges.
Would God want us to try?
A body found with folks nearby getting ready to offer praise to God. We must try, please help me save someone from hunger or even death, and join the cause! Donate money or your time and make a difference in someone's life as soon as you can.
